*IN-PERSON* Nature Journalling for youth with Trace Balla

In this workshop Trace Balla will inspire youth to advocate for environmental sustainability, through nature journaling and storytelling and illustration for young creatives. Ages 12-18.

Calling all creative nature-loving young people! The Youth Guerrilla Garden and Geelong Regional Libraries invite you to participate in a creative art workshop with award winning author/illustrator Trace Balla. Trace is a 'story catcher' who finds inspiration in nature and incorporates local plants and animal species into her detailed, cartoon-style drawings.

Trace will take you on a journey of discovery, exploring the art form of nature journaling and the creation of beautiful illustrations and powerful stories.

Don't worry! No artistic skills needed to participate... All you need is your interest, imagination and enthusiasm!

Over two days, Trace will share her knowledge and inspire you to explore your connection to your local environment and to use art and storytelling to bring about positive change in your community.

Participants are asked to attend both days of the workshop to complete the full artistic journey with Trace.

An exhibition of the artwork created will be displayed at Headspace, Ocean Grove.

All materials are provided. Bring a drink bottle, hat, snack and lunch.

Bookings are essential, those on the waitlist will be contacted upon availability.

Please note that a photographer and/or videographer may be at this event capturing images that could be used for marketing purposes by Geelong Regional Libraries or Bellarine Community Health. Please notify the photographer or a member of staff on arrival if you do not want you/your child to be photographed.
